ScanIQ

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 2026

ScanIQ sends people to destinations you control, so we hold link and content use to a high standard. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Breaching it can lead to links being disabled and accounts suspended without notice.

Prohibited content & uses

You must not use ScanIQ, or point a link to content, that:

  • is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
  • distributes malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • conducts phishing, credential harvesting, or impersonation;
  • is fraudulent, deceptive, or a scam, including fake stores, investment/crypto scams, and prize/lottery fraud;
  • uses "cloaking" — showing us or scanners one destination while serving another, or changing a destination to evade filtering or review;
  • sends spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or drives traffic acquired through spam;
  • infringes intellectual property or distributes counterfeit or pirated goods;
  • is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or incites violence;
  • is child sexual abuse material (zero tolerance — such material is reported to the relevant authorities);
  • is adult content without lawful age-gating, or where prohibited by law;
  • sells or promotes regulated or restricted goods (e.g. weapons, controlled drugs, unlicensed gambling or financial services) where prohibited.

Prohibited technical activity

  • Interfering with, overloading, or attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts;
  • Scraping or harvesting data, or circumventing rate limits, quotas, or plan restrictions;
  • Using the Service to build a competing redirection or link-shortening product;
  • Reselling the Service without our written agreement.

Your ongoing responsibility

You are responsible for every link's live destination at all times, including after you edit it. A link that becomes non-compliant after creation is still your responsibility.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may disable links, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve and disclose information to authorities where lawful, and refuse refunds for terminations caused by violations. We may act with or without notice depending on severity.

Report abuse

Seen a ScanIQ link being misused? Report it to support@getscaniq.com with the link and details, and we will review it promptly.
